I teach fith grade and have been doing this for the last 5 years. I've never said I love what I do but I also know I don't hate it. I'm afraid to say I love it because I don't want to be a lifer. Commitment to this is scary. There are so many things I want to do, see and experience and part of me knows that perhaps being a lifer would make this tough.

I've changed a lot, especially in the last several years. I'm coming to terms with the mistakes I've made and beginning to see them as opportunites I've had to grow. I'm learning not to regret so much because I can see that everything I've experienced has made me who I am. I'm learning to love my self and at times can even say I'm proud of who I am.

Life is so dynamic. Sometimes I want to change things about myself instantly but I know this is not possible.  I'm a patient person… but am anxious to become a more idealistic version of myself; I wonder if that makes sense? I also understand that change is slow and maybe sometimes I just need to slow down to appreciate where I am and acknowledge how far I've come.
